Committees: we welcome members of the congregation to become involved in our congregational activities and help us define and design the many doors through which people in our region can find their place at Birkat Shalom.
Cultural: creating meaningful activities answering the needs of our diverse population
New membership outreach: With the influx of many new families in our area, including over 300 families in the new neighborhood of Bet Hashmonai, we are looking for volunteers to help set up a “Welcome Wagon” to greet the newcomers.
New immigrants: In our area there is a growing population of South Americans living in Ramla, as well as a veteran community of Russian immigrants in the Ganei Aviv neighborhood.
Publicity: With ads in the local papers and the creation of a web site, we want to let people in our area know that we exist, and that we have a great deal to offer regarding creative, liberal and meaningful expression of our Jewish heritage.
